1972 Porsche 917/10 Can Am Ur-Panzer Poster
In 1972, Roger Penske teamed with Porsche to develop the 917/10 and compete in the Can Am series in North America. The car featured updated aerodynamics and a 5-liter turbocharged version of Porsche’s dominant flat-12 engine, producing upwards of 900 hp. With star driver Mark Donohue missing several races due to injuries, teammate George Follmer went on to win the series, taking 5 victories out of 9 races. The car's distinctive L&M livery remains iconic to this day.
